Insurance Eligability Payout

 

The vehicle owner/driver is legally liable for your injury/death, you may be entitled to compensation if you are:

  • A passenger
  • A pedestrian
  • A driver of a car or motorcycle only if another vehicle driver caused your injury
  • A pedal cyclist

 

You will NOT RECEIVE an insurance payout if:

  • You, the injured person, were totally at fault
  • No-one was at fault – for example if the vehicle suddenly developed a mechanical fault, causing an accident, or an animal ran onto the road
  • If you have not made your claim within the period required by law
  • If the vehicle causing the injury was not insured and was on private property when the accident happened
  • If you have been already compensated ( you can not be compensated twice)
